The Longleaf Hospice Foundation is committed to providing support to individuals or families of those who have a loved one affected by a terminal illness including offering financial support, education, bereavement, and advocacy.
FranallenJam IV will be a fundraiser for Longleaf Hospice Foundation of Decatur, GA. Why hospice?
Fran has been a hospice RN for the last 17 years. She has practiced in California, Texas, North Carolina and now Georgia. Though she has had other jobs as an RN, hospice has always been her passion and her ministry.
After "hospice shopping" for the right fit, Fran finally connected with Longleaf Hospice and felt her search had ended. Longleaf gives her the opportunity to provide exceptional end of life care to patients with terminal illness. The Foundation helps further with financial needs, and Memorial Services to assist the families in their grief journey. During planning for the fourth annual FranallenJam, she mentioned the show to her supervisor and that she wanted to make it a benefit concert. Raina Owens immediately suggested the Longleaf Hospice Foundation and the collaborative efforts for the 2013 FranallenJam began.
There are currenly three sponsorship levels, cash donations are accepted as well as donations of goods and services for the silent auction. Sawnee Mountain Music is the venue in Cumming, GA and they are donating time, energy, a silent auction item and the location in addition to a portion of the proceeds from their sales during the show.
It is Fran's hope that she can present a large check to the Foundation at the end of the FranallenJam IV.
