Last year's FranAllen Jam 2 WAS AWESOME! May 21 at Zuffy’s was a night of great music, free giveaways, raffles and a wonderful celebration of love, marriage and friendship. The doors opened at 6:00 P.M. with MvA's best man, Joe Kirkpatrick's new project, Velvet City Mercy kicking off the music at 6:30 P.M. There was a steady stream of bands and artists until 2:00 A.M. The talent included the soulful, heartfelt ballads of Liz Lee, and the quirky, thoughtful lyrics of Dave Daniels. Other full bands included Saint Francis, with the one of a kind songwriting and amazing voice of Scott Baston; The Internationals, Jody Abernathy’s original country/rock/western swing and Connor Christian, with Jeff Spirko of Southern Gothic. The end of the night culminated in a jam with many of the musicians, a mystery drummer from the crowd at Zuffy's and our dear friend Geoff Reid who showed up to join in the fun.
The Internationals The Internationals had just started playing together when the first Jam happened and they have been growing stronger with each gig, practice and studio session. They will be headlining the show and you won't be disappointed.
Tony "Garbo" Garan paints to the jam
Tony "Garbo" Garan, painted his interpretation of the music by Saint Francis. Tony's work is unique and colorful and added a new twist to the Jam. Tony has been an artist for his entire life. He painted the skateboard he would ride to the Florida Skate Championship in 1980. “Garbo” is equally “old school” and “what is happening now”. Creating, every moment that he is breathing. Garan is a true outsider. Self-taught with no boundaries, Anthony is constantly taking mental snapshots, aural snippets and samples of our world breathing them in as life and out, as  ART!!

The Longleaf Hospice Foundation is committed to providing support to individuals or families of those who have a loved one affected by a terminal illness including offering financial support, education, bereavement, and advocacy.

FranallenJam IV will be a fundraiser for Longleaf Hospice Foundation of Decatur, GA. Why hospice?

Fran has been a hospice RN for the last 17 years. She has practiced in California, Texas, North Carolina and now Georgia. Though she has had other jobs as an RN, hospice has always been her passion and her ministry.

After "hospice shopping" for the right fit, Fran finally connected with Longleaf Hospice and felt her search had ended. Longleaf gives her the opportunity to provide exceptional end of life care to patients with terminal illness. The Foundation helps further with financial needs, and Memorial Services to assist the families in their grief journey. During planning for the fourth annual FranallenJam, she mentioned the show to her supervisor and that she wanted to make it a benefit concert. Raina Owens immediately suggested the Longleaf Hospice Foundation and the collaborative efforts for the 2013 FranallenJam began.

There are currenly three sponsorship levels, cash donations are accepted as well as donations of goods and services for the silent auction. Sawnee Mountain Music is the venue in Cumming, GA and they are donating time, energy, a silent auction item and the location in addition to a portion of the proceeds from their sales during the show.

It is Fran's hope that she can present a large check to the Foundation at the end of the FranallenJam IV.
